LESSON 5 — The INSTRUMENTALS
There are two long instrumental sections throughout this song.
⭐ Instrumental 1
The first instrumental section follows exactly the same chord progression as the verses, so once you're comfortable with the verse, this section should feel very familiar.
Use this as an opportunity to settle into the rhythm and focus on keeping your strumming smooth and consistent.

⭐ Instrumental 2
The second instrumental begins in a similar way, but this is where things change slightly.
After the intro-style G movement, the section slows down and comes to a stop on the G chord, creating a moment of pause.
From here, it starts again — but instead of moving up to the G3 shape, you’ll play a C major in the 7th position. This then moves back to G5, followed by A7 and C.
This is the key variation to watch out for, so take your time with this transition and practice it slowly until it feels comfortable.
⭐ Tip: Break this section into two parts — up to the stop, and then the restart — to make the change easier to learn.

VIDEO TUTORIAL - THE INSTRUMENTALS
⭐ The first instrumental is exactly the same chord progression as the verses. The second, comes to a stop after slowing down on the G chord after the intro section - then it starts again but instead of heading up to G3, you play a C major in 7th position before returning to G5 - and then onto A7 and C - this is the bit to watch out for.
