THE GIANT GILA MONSTER (PG)
Friday 30 October 2026 | 7pm | £6 per person
Get ready for giant-lizard mayhem, teenage heroes and wonderfully vintage 1950s sci-fi in The Giant Gila Monster.
When an enormous prehistoric-looking creature begins terrorising a small Texas community, it falls to a resourceful young hot-rod enthusiast to help stop the monster before it causes even more destruction.
Filmed in atmospheric black and white, The Giant Gila Monster is a gloriously low-budget slice of 1950s creature-feature cinema, packed with B-movie charm, rock ’n’ roll attitude and plenty of retro monster-movie fun.
Adding to the film’s curious musical appeal, star Don Sullivan performs the song “There Was a Mushroom”, accompanying himself on ukulele in a simple folk-infused rock ’n’ roll style.
Perfect for fans of classic horror, vintage sci-fi, cult cinema and movies where the monsters are big and the budgets definitely weren’t.
