This week you will explore barred chords and get more practice in on the calypso-flam technique and the half chuck strum.
The song "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and made famous by The Shirelles is featured in the films Dirty Dancing (1987) and True Romance (1993). Additionally, it appears in the movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), Filth (2013) and Amy Winehouse's version of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" is featured in the 2004 film Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

THE CHORDS
This part features a mix of open chords and barre chords played in the 2nd and 3rd positions on the fretboard.

RECAP ON HOW TO PLAY BARRED CHORDS
A barred chord requires the use of your index finger to bar two or more strings at the same time whilst using your other fingers to complete the rest of the chord shape. Barred chords generally cover all 4 strings and although they can take a bit of getting used too.

STRUMMING PATTERN
You only have one strumming pattern to play all the way through/ It contains a flamenco strum on Beat 2 and two dampened strums on beats 3 & 4 so for this reason we will call it the FLAMENCO DAMPENED STRUM - FLAM-DAM for short!
