WEEK 1

Welcome back!! This term is made of two sides... the spooky set, in preparation for some Halloween busking, and the Festive set in preparation for the Christmas busking & UCL Festive Fundraiser!!
  • If you are new to level 2.2 you invited to explore both the more basic parts of the arrangements but feel free to also try out some of the level 3 techniques to get a head start on moving up to the next level, if you so dar... wish! 
  • If you are returning to level 2.2 for the 2nd or 3rd time, you will be invited to explore the more intermediary arrangements and techniques. If you are returning after a 3rd time to this level - you will be expected to add at least 2-3 parts of the level 3 arrangements throughout the term.
  • For all level 3 players - you get to do the fun advanced sections with a chance to improvise on some of the arrangements. 

HOW IT WILL WORK

You may have downloaded the draft copy of the Halloween Songbook for this term via WhatsApp. There have been a few edits since, so make sure you download the updated version below.
Each week you will work on 2 songs from the book focussing on the techniques, ukulele and vocal parts and solos and picking challenges each of them bring along with any theory that may come in handy. 

This week you will work on arrangements for:
  • Song 1: Banana Boat Song
  • Song 2: Dem Bones
  • Theory: Alternative Chords & Moveable Shapes
