UCL PLAY - WEEK 5
"Maneater"
This week you will explore MANEATER written by HALL & OATES back in 1986. This song is great for those halloween sets and contains a number of parts.
One of Hall & Oates most successful songs was released on Halloween back in 1982 and made it to no1 in the USA. “Maneater” was originally going to be a reggae song. However, the ultimate version of it was more inspired by the music of Motown Records although the track does contain a syncopated guitar rhythm that appears half way through the intro section. We will look at some alternative chord positions for playing this part along with a shortened riff for the intro and solo sections.
