This week you will explore a number of Rock N Roll techniques that will have you playing the brand new UCL Rock N Roll Medley in no time at all. The track has been recorded at 120BPM to assist with practice. We will take it up by 5BPM but each week to get to full speed by week 10.
ROCK & ROLL music ascended from the blues and country music and came alive in the USA during the1950s. It utilises many of the same methods as blues but tends to be played a little faster and funkier. This week you will explore a medley of Rock N Roll songs that combine the 12 bar blues shuffle, dampening, alternative chord shapes, including barred shapes, how to slide chords and how to add percussive sounds using your ukulele body and muted strings.
