CONGRATULATIONS to Sue Woods - our Prize Draw Winner of a fantastic Snail Ukulele! Here's what she had to say about it:
"It was great fun and I was thrilled to be the lucky winner of the Snail Ukulele. Love it, it’s much better than my beginners ukulele.I only discovered the ukulele this summer and really love everything about it, the only down side is that I am not very good, but determined to get better. Top of my xmas wish list is another ukulele – I think I have got the bug. Many thanks again – appreciate how much hard work goes into organising events. Best wishes for Xmas, Sue"

Cinema Snaps by Kelly Loughlin Photography:

We would also like to thank the amazing performers who gave up their time to get involved: the MERSEY BELLES, UKEBOX and the fantastic UKULELE UFF AND LONESOME DAVE - totally awesome! We will have CD's of selected songs available soon and the footage, captured by the LJMU crew, is currently in post production and will be available to view as a mini documentary in 2014. We can't wait to see it and re-live some of those special uktastic moments! For now...have a gander at the wonderful photographs by Kelly Loughlin:
Finally, we would like to say a huge thanks to the lovely volunteers from Ukulele Club Liverpool, Dan's Mum and both venues (Woolton Picture House Jackie & the gang, and Woolton Village Club Eddie & Pam) for their kind hospitality & patience and to Joe & Kyle from Stubborn Sound, Kelly Loughlin Photography and the LJMU Film Crew. I would like to say an extra special thanks to Adam Wheatley for sharing his thoughts on Nystagmus - what a great guy and advocate for the network and last but not least to our little superstar Willow for just being totally awesome:

MERSEY BELLE SNAPS:

Charity Fundraiser:
All proceeds raised from this uke'tastic event will be donated to the Nystagmus Network which is a UK charity run by individuals and families affected by the eye condition nystagmus.

What is Nystagmus?
Nystagmus is characterised by an involuntary movement of the eyes, which often seriously reduces vision. In the UK, many people with nystagmus can register as sight impaired; few can drive a car; most encounter some difficulties in everyday life - both practical and social - and some lose out on education and employment opportunities.

For more information visit the Nystagmus Network at: http://www.nystagmusnet.org and give them a 'LIKE' on Facebook coz they deserve it!
