In this session, you’ll get a feel for:
- How to hold and tune your ukulele
- Understand chords shapes and strumming patterns
- Have a go at playing your first tune
- How to use the online resources to maximise your home practice

We have a range of ukulele shapes and sizes you can try out before you commit to buying your own plus all the necessary accessories in store.
It can be daunting starting a new hobby such as learning a musical instrument, so our taster sessions are designed to ease you in, get you acquainted with the club and team and answer any questions you may have regarding the course and playing ukulele, oe improving your skills. We provide all the equipment for the workshop but if you already own a ukulele, feel free to bring it along so we can check that it is fit for purpose! We also have a loan scheme where you can borrow one of our ukuleles for your 1st 10-week course to see if it's for you.
(A small fee & refundable deposit it required for 10-week ukulele loans)
The taster workshops last approximately 30 minutes and will give you a taste of things to come. You will explore some introductory exercises with a Q&A session where the team will answer any questions you have.
You will receive your booking confirmation once you complete the form below with more information about the session and the location details etc.
If you can't attend this date but are keen to start learning ukulele, you can join us online for a discount fee of 50%, where you will work on the same course content as the current class at home, with an opportunity to join in at the end of term celebration.
