Each course below runs for 10 weeks, 3 times per year, with a half term break midway, as follows:
SPRING TERM: JANUARY - APRIL
SUMMER TERM: APRIL - JULY
WINTER TERM: SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
SUMMER TERM: APRIL - JULY
WINTER TERM: SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
These courses are classroom based but also include online access to all course content, training videos, PDF and MP3 downloads, so even if you miss a session, you can catch up no problem. All of the class based courses are designed with course content options for both left and right handed players.

UCL LEVEL 1
ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS UKULELE COURSE (18+) START DATE: 24th or 25th September 2025 Wednesdays 6.15pm Thursdays 12.15pm The level 1 course is tailored for individuals who are new to the ukulele and have a burning desire to learn. No prior experience is required!
Discover the basics of ukulele playing, from fundamental chords to essential strumming techniques. Our patient and encouraging instructors will make your learning experience enjoyable and rewarding. UCL LEVEL 2
BASIC SKILLS UKULELE COURSE (18+) START DATE: 24th or 25th September 2025 Wednesdays 6.30pm Thursdays 11.00am The level 2 course is perfect for ukulele enthusiasts who have completed Level 1 and are eager to build upon their foundational skills or who have learnt the basics independently and want to advance.
Explore more diverse strumming patterns, discover new chords and voicings, and expand your repertoire with additional songs. Our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way, fostering your musical growth and confidence. Join us for this enriching journey and take your ukulele playing to the next level! UCL LEVEL 2.2
INTERMEDIATE UKULELE COURSE (18+) START DATE: 24th or 25th September 2025 Wednesdays 7.40pm Thursdays 5.15pm This is where is starts to get serious! This transformative course is designed for passionate ukulele players who have completed Levels 1 and 2, and are eager to take their skills to the next level.
Delve into advanced strumming patterns, intricate chord progressions, riffs, licks, solos and explore diverse playing styles. Refine your fingerpicking abilities and master complex songs with detailed instruction. Join us for an immersive musical journey and elevate your ukulele playing to new heights! UCL PLAY
A MIXED LEVEL UKULELE COURSE (18+) Level 2.2 / Level 3 / Baritone Players START DATE: 25th September 2025 Thurs 5.15pm This course is designed for the more intermediary players who are unable to make Wednesday evening sessions. It combines 3 levels of ukulele playing including the level 2.2, 3 and instruction for baritone players with the intention of exploring 3 parts arrangements.
This 10 week course is great for aspiring musicians who want to experience a band like situation. Each section will be allocated dedicated parts to learn with the emphasis of practicing as a group dynamic. UCL CHILDRENS UKULELE CLUB
10 week course (8-12yrs) START DATE: 25th September 2025 4.15pm Welcome to our vibrant and exciting Children's Ukulele course which is geared towards children aged 8-12 years to begin their journey into music making. This course is perfect for young, enthusiastic and aspiring musicians who want to make some noise in harmony with others and learn new, fun skills along the way.
We will introduce your children to a variety of basic chords shapes, strumming patterns and songs that will help build confidence and allow them to voice those notes if they so wish to sing along. The course will conclude with a mini performance during week 10, where friends and family can come celebrate the new music skills of their children. |
