Start your musical journey with the ultimate beginners ukulele course at Ukulele Club Liverpool. With two classroom options plus an online-only course, you can learn in the way that suits you best — and we fully support left-handed players from day one.
With over 12 years of specialist teaching experience, we’ve created a proven 10-week programme designed to get you confidently strumming your favourite songs. You’ll learn correct holding and strumming techniques, smooth chord changes, rhythm skills, strong finger placement plus a handfull of songs to get you started.
No experience needed — just bring your ukulele and enthusiasm, or borrow one of ours before you commit to buying your own.
Led by experienced Music Leaders in a friendly, social setting, the course also includes full online membership access with video tutorials, downloadable PDFs, and MP3 play-along tracks — so you’ll never fall behind.
Unable to make the class times but want to be part of the UCL festival and community gigs? No problem, you can now join us online only for half the fee to learn the same content we will be exploring in class. Select your preferred options below.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A playable ukulele tuned to GCEA (If you don't own one yet you can hire one from us for 10 weeks)
- A ukulele tuner, digital or clip on (We sell these in store along with other essential ukulele accessories)
- Access to the internet via wifi (So that you can log on for your weekly content and watch the video tutorials)
- An email address (For initial communication and for the link to set up your online account)
HOW IT WORKS: You'll get an email with a link to set up your account on our website. Once logged in, you'll find your welcome pack with details on preparing for your ukulele course and accessing course materials. The email will arrive about 1–2 weeks before the course starts—check your junk folder if you don’t see it. To ensure you receive our emails, add [email protected] to your address book.
