Already know the basics and ready to grow your confidence even further?
UCL Level 2 is the perfect next step for players who have completed Level 1 (or already know beginner chords and strumming patterns) and want to become more fluent, musical, and confident on the ukulele.
Across 10 fun and supportive weekly sessions, you’ll build on your existing skills and begin exploring more exciting techniques, rhythms, chord progressions, and playing styles. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable playing full songs, performing with others, and developing a stronger sense of rhythm and timing.
Throughout the course, you’ll work on:
- smoother chord transitions
- more varied and dynamic strumming patterns
- rhythm, timing, and musical expression
- new chords and progressions
- playing confidently in a group setting
- improving overall fluency and technique
- developing performance confidence
You’ll continue learning through a mixture of popular songs, fun exercises, ensemble playing, and creative musical challenges — all taught in the relaxed, friendly UCL atmosphere our members love.
Each weekly session is led by experienced UCL Music Leaders and includes access to our exclusive online learning platform featuring:
- video tutorials
- downloadable PDFs
- MP3 backing tracks
- practice materials and bonus resources
By the end of the course, you’ll feel far more confident playing complete songs, keeping solid rhythm, and performing with other musicians — while preparing for the more advanced skills introduced in Level 2.2 and beyond.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable for adults (18+) who:
- have completed UCL Level 1 or equivalent
- know basic open chords
- can play a few simple strumming patterns
- want to improve confidence and musicality
- are ready to move beyond beginner level
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A playable ukulele
- A tuner (clip-on or digital)
- Internet access
- An email address
- Enthusiasm and willingness to practise
