Music Theory for Ukulele Players - An Introduction

Ever wondered why music works the way it does? Why some chords sound great together and others don't? This 10 module course will help you to begin a discovery of the magic behind the music with an in depth introduction to music theory, specifically designed for ukulele players who are fairly new to learning music.

With a tonne of fun tab exercises and audio examples to help you understand the various formulas and processes of music, you will discover:

  • How major, minor, dominant 7ths, major 7ths and minor 7th chords are constructed;
  • The notes of major, minor and pentatonic scales and how to play them effectively in any key, which will assist your development of producing creative solos and riffs;
  • What chords work together to help with writing your own songs.
  • How to transpose chords and songs to fit keys that suit your voice.

With all this information at hand, you will be on your way to creating your own songs in no time with a better understanding of how to dissect some of your favourite songs with the tools to jam over them using some of the scales.

Putting the theory into practice is a fantastic skill to have and the tools we offer within this course will provide endless hours of guaranteed creativity.
