WEEK 3


This week you will explore a 1960s classic song "SPOOKY", the Dusty Springfield version. Originally an INSTRUMENTAL song performed by saxophonist Mike Sharpe (Shapiro), written by Shapiro and Harry Middlebrooks Jr, which first charted in 1967 hitting No. 57 on the US pop charts.

SOLO TECHNIQUES
This is an improvised solo using the A Minor Pentatonic scale with the additional blues note. It contains  techniques such as HAMMER ON technique, pull off techniques with some slides and bends and double stops. 
The Am Blues scale looks very similar to the Am Pentatonic with just one extra note added:

Have a listen to the solo on its own and notice how it starts on beat 2 of the first bar (after the count in bar).
