WEEK 6

Picture
MELE KALIKIMAKA is the thing to say for Happy Christmas in Hawaiian and a really fun song to perform. You will take on the rhythm section and the level 3 group will take on the lead parts.

Click on the image to visit our Bandcamp where you can download the full arrangement for just £1. All proceeds will go towards our Festive Fundraising efforts for 2023 where we will be splitting all funds to be donated to two fantastic ukulele festivals that you may be performing at next year including: JESS2VAL and SUMMER STRUM.

PDF DOWNLOADS

This week you will explore alternative 2nd & 3rd chord positions along with thumb roll techniques and how to embed them into this song plus a few chord slides to give it that Hawaiian sound. Baritone players can try out the Pluck & Strum technique for the accompanying rhythm along with some picking trills and thumb rolls.

This solo arrangement is for C-tuned Ukuleles only. Baritones will be playing the rhythm part over the top. The Intro section and solo section use the same sequence, which mimics the melody of the verse section.
