GIG ANNOUNCEMENT ! ! !

If you are keen and free next Friday 24th March, you are more than welcome to come perform a 20 minute set of the more basic song arrangements at a charity event at St Annes Church located at L7 3HU 

The song book will include:

  • Folsom Prison Blues
  • Dreaming
  • Common People
  • Stand By Me
  • Rock N Roll Medley
  • And for the encore... You Are My Sunshine

WEEK 8

This week you will explore a song made famous by the ISLEY BROTHERS, the BEATLES, SALT N PEPA and CHAKA DEMUS & PLIERS, all of whom had massive hits with it, however the TOP NOTES, who first recorded it back in 1961, didn't make an impact unfortunately. TWIST & SHOUT was written by song writers, Phil Medley & Bert Berns. The song only contains 4 main chords with two beats per chord and contains a call and response vocal. There is a little run at the end that you can use just playing the top two strings and D Major chord at the the 5th fret position. 

REHEARSAL 1

This week you will also begin rehearsals for the main event which will take in a few weeks.
