WEEK 1

Welcome to week 1 of your level 3 ukulele course. This week you will explore a Ragtime Blues Progression in the key of C in various chord positions before adding it to a mash up of two fantastic Ragtime Blues songs from the early 1900s. Click on the links to listen to both songs before the session if you can. Obviously they are played at speed and in different keys but they work great in C.

This term we will begin each session warming up with a scale pattern. The first scale pattern you will explore is the C MAJOR SCALE and C MINOR SCALE. To improve timing, when playing we will start off at a steady pace of 70BPM, so try and familiarise open minor scale pattern. Click the button below to download it.
