This week you will explore Toto's, 1980s hit, "AFRICA". This song started off as an experimental mess-about on a new CS-80 keyboard after band member, David Paich watched a documentary about Africa and was not even going to be considered for the album the band were producing at the time. As it happens, the song became a massive hit around the worldn during 1982 and 1983, topping the US Billboard chart, and reaching number 3 in the UK. It has sold over 6 million copies in the US alone and turned out to be one of Toto's biggest hits.
