MODULE 4:
THE SCRAPE

The Scrape is a technique that uses all 4 fingers on the strumming hand. Ukulele Uff coined the term and describes it as a backwards or inverted flamenco strum stating that those who are regular flamenco strummers may find this a bit of a challenge! Any flamenco fans in here?
The scrape works well in so many scenarios, especially for starting off songs with those fancy introductions. Uff demonstrated it in the introduction video when he visits the chorus. It's a tough one to master but another great one to have in the repertoire.

VT16: INTRODUCING
The Scrape

The Scrape is a strum that utilises all four fingers and the name was coined by Mr Uff himself. It works well in many strumming scenarios and defiantly one to add to the belt. In this vide Ukulele Uff demonstrates the scrape in his poshest suit.
