WEEK 3

This week you will explore the Beatles 1967 hit, Strawberry Fields, which has a bit of an interesting story behind the making of it. The song took over 55 hours of studio time to create and a whole load of pioneering editing techniques that were revolutionary for the 1960s. WATCH THIS VIDEO to find out more about how the song was produced for the final result and have a listen to the orginal version with John and his guitar.

STRAWBERRY FIELD FOREVER was released as a B-side with Penny Lane back in 1967 and only reached no 8 on the charts back then. In 2011 it was rated as the 75th best song in the world by Rolling Stone magazine.
