This week you will explore the Beatles 1967 hit, Strawberry Fields, which has a bit of an interesting story behind the making of it. The song took over 55 hours of studio time to create and a whole load of pioneering editing techniques that were revolutionary for the 1960s. STRAWBERRY FIELD FOREVER was released as a B-side with Penny Lane back in 1967 and only reached no 8 on the charts back then. In 2011 it was rated as the 75th best song in the world by Rolling Stone magazine.
