WEEK 5

This week you will explore another Beatles track with a few key changes. PENNY LANE was written by Paul McCartney who was waiting at the bus stop on Penny Lane for John to have his hair cut at the barber shop and wrote the song based on the passing trade and people he observed during that 20 minutes.

PENNY LANE was released as a B-side to Strawberry Fields and lucky old me has an actual copy of that 45! There is a variation of strumming patterns and a few triplets thrown in for good measure along with alternative chord positions in places.
