Thanks for choosing UCL for your initial ukulele training and welcome, we hope you enjoy the course and the extra curricular ukulele activities this term! We are about to celebrate our 10th Festive season so we are happy to have you on board at this time.
We are committed to providing you with the best learning experience possible. Weekly course content is released around 5pm every Tuesday, giving you ample time to prepare for the upcoming class sessions on Wednesday. To make the most of this new content, we recommend that you download and print off any PDF sheets and bring them along to your classes. Alternatively, if you prefer to use a tablet or other electronic device, you can easily access and store the content for your convenience.
We know that sometimes it can be difficult to remember everything you learnt in class, which is why our bite-sized video tutorials are the perfect solution to helping with home practice and can help you catch up if you miss a class or two. These videos will help you to retain the key concepts of your weekly training, so you can continue your learning journey even after leaving the classroom. These tutorials will be available for you to watch within 24 hours of each class session, providing a convenient way to review the material and reinforce your understanding of the ukulele basics to help you reach your 10 week goals.
We also understand that learning a new skill can be challenging at times, but we want you to know that we are here to support you every step of the way. So, we wish you the best of luck in your studies and hope that you enjoy the exciting level 1 content we have in store for you!

TUNING YOUR UKULELE TUTORIAL
The most essential element of ukulele playing! Watch this tuning tutorial with Will Grove White from the Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain to help you get to grips with tuning up and how your ukulele should sound before you start each lesson. If you get a chance to go see the UOGB live, then we highly recommend it. If you have any further questions re-tuning please ask away in class or in the Facebook Group.
If you do not yet own a tuner, you can purchase them at UCL HQ for just £6, along with a range of ukulele straps, stands, picks and other accessories.
