MODULE 4
THE CHORUS
Now it's time to explore the chorus section. Again, it will be split into two parts but this time each line contains a 4 bar sequence and each part, a 16 bar sequence.
PART 1
This 4 bar sequence is best played with the index finger barring across the bottom three strings throughout. Starting in Bb position, you then simply need to remove your third finger to reveal the Gm7 and then remove your middle finger to reveal the Bbm6:
This next four bars uses the same strumming sequence as above but with different chords as follows:
Now you have four bars just on the D7, which may sound odd without the lyrics or melody, but stick to it. Notice how in the third bar of the dampened strum you don't need to dampen the last down strum on beat 4, in fact you really want it to ring out there. Also note, there is no down strum on beat one of the final bar:
Now for some single strums and a nice thumb roll to finish off part one of the chorus. Notice how the C7 comes in on beat 4 of the third bar and again, there is no down strum on beat one of the final bar:

PART 2
The first four bars of part 2 start exactly like the first 4 bars of part one, as follows:
The second four bars of part 2 are also the same as the second four bars in part 1:
Now instead of staying on the D7 for 4 bars, you will add an A7 and Dm. Note, there are no down strums on beat 2 of each of those bars:
To finish this part, play a full bar of Bb with dampening, followed by a bar that splits between the Gm7 an Bbm6 before returning to the intro sequence on the word "dreams":
To complete the chorus section add another intro sequence as follows:
