MODULE 5
SOLO SECTION
As previously mentioned, this section is written out in very basic tab form with arrows illustrating the strumming parts. When you see numbers piled on top of one another, that indicates a chord. The chord symbol will appear above those numbers for easy navigation. The audio samples are recorded at 80BPM so have a listen to them for the rhythm of each section.
The solo section will be broken down in 4 parts as follows:
The solo section will be broken down in 4 parts as follows:
PART 1
This first pattern is a little tricky with some finger shifting to pick the melody out of those chords.
This next phrase introduces some alternative chord positions, like the E7 barred on fret 4 in position 2 and the Dm at fret 5 in position 2, (like a Bm shape).

PART 2
Next play the barred D7 on the second fret. Notice that after the 2nd down strum you need to add a finger on fret 4 of the C string then remove it again to return to D7.
For beat 3 of G7 you will need to lift your index finger off for the open note.

PART 3
This part of the solo starts off the same as part 2 for the 1st two sequences as follows.
This section is the same as the second section in part 2.

PART 4
Now instead of staying on the D7 for 4 bars, you will add an A7 and Dm. Note there is no down strum on beat 2 of each of those bars.
To finish this part of the chorus you will return to the intro sequence on the word "dreams"
This section is included in the audio above and is just like the intro.
